Computer Classes

Are you ready to take that first step towards learning how to use a computer? Or, are you already using computers but want to upgrade your skills? Check out our computer classes this summer!

Intro to the Computer:     Saturday, June 8, 1-3pm
Microsoft Word 2007:       Monday, June 10, 7-9pm
Intro to the Internet:        Tuesday, June 11, 10-Noon
Intro to Email:                 Wednesday, June 12, 7-9pm
Resumes:                        Thursday, June 13, 7-9pm

Please call of visit the Information Desk to learn more or sign up for a spot. Some classes require existing skills or online registration with which the reference librarians can assist you.

Classes are free, but a $5 deposit (to be returned when you attend the class) is required to reserve your space.

Dig Into Reading

Dig into Reading this summer with our summer reading programs:

Preschool Read-to-Me Programs (Ages 3-6) on Wednesday Evenings at 7pm

Elementary-Age Reader Programs (Independent Readers, Ages 6-12) are on Tuesday Mornings at 11am

Registration for middle school and high school students begins June 3rd. Participation requires registration AND sign-up for individual programs on "Program Sign-Up Sheets" at the library. More information on programs at the library or here.

Belleville Area Garden Walk

Sunday July 21, 2013

11-4pm

Six Gardens of Van Buren will be showcased on our eighth garden walk this summer. Gardens to the north, south, east and west of the library are all included. Each one has something special to offer. Get great ideas for your garden and help the library too. The Garden Marketplace starts at 10am.

Advanced discounted tickets are available for $10. For more information and to order advanced tickets call 734-699-3291. Pick up your garden map at the library on walk day On the day of garden walk, tickets are $12 and available ONLY at the library.

Science Kidz

Get Your Hands Dirty with Jessamy

B.A.D.L. presents hands-on science programs for children ages 6-12 plus a parent at five exciting workshops Wednesday evenings, May 1st through May 29th.

Belleville Literacy

Do you know an adult who needs help reading?

The Belleville Area District Library is offering FREE 1-on-1 tutoring with trained literacy volunteers. Learners must commit to meeting with their tutor once a week for two hours. This service is completely confidential. For more information you can either stop by the library or call us at (734) 699-3291.
